​After Danella runs into a deer on a forest highway, she takes it upon herself to save and rehabilitate the animal by volunteering at the animal shelter where the doe has been taken; but soon finds herself falling for the head veterinarian, and has to come to grips with a job change and allowing her deer, which she has now taken on as a kind of pet, to be released into the wild.
